SUSTAINABILITY
AND QUALITY
The parabolic wall is produced under vacuum injection of natural
fabrics and polyester.
The use of natural
fiber like
flax, hemp en jute offer great environmental benefits instead of the
traditional glass fiber.
Using a 3D drawing and a robot cutter, the original form is made , with
a minimum of material and waste and a maximum precision of 1/1000
millimeter.
-
Very low quantity of (sun)
energy to produce the fiber in stead of the energy-intensive process
for glass fiber
-
The avoidance of the use of
chemicals for etching the glass fiber, in order to adhere the fiber
better with the resin.
-
The very low emission of
styrene (95% lower) by the use of a closed mould during the hardening
process of the resin.
-
The
re-usability and the possibility to burn it in a combustion
furnace after the user phase. This in opposite to glass fiber enforced
composites which can't be reused due to European waste dumping rules
and the fact that the combustion furnace will get stuck.
